Unity (NYSE:U) and Epic Games collaborate to bring Unity games to Fortnite

November 19, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Unity and Epic Games are collaborating to integrate Unity games into Fortnite, aiming to boost opportunities and value for both players and developers.

Game developers will soon be able to publish their Unity-created games into Fortnite, tapping into a vast ecosystem boasting over 500 million registered accounts. This integration allows developers to participate in the Fortnite Creator Economy, expanding their reach and potential revenue streams.

The announcement was made at Unity’s Annual Developer Conference, Unite, where Unity also revealed plans to bring Unreal Engine support to its cross-platform commerce platform. This move provides Unreal Engine developers with greater flexibility in managing digital catalogs, payment providers, and web shops across PC, mobile, and web platforms. The Unreal Engine support, expected early next year, will enable developers to control pricing, promotions, and live operations more efficiently.

Matt Bromberg, President and CEO of Unity, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that "Choice and open systems create growth for everyone in the gaming ecosystem."

Echoing this sentiment, Tim Sweeney, Founder and CEO of Epic Games, emphasized the need for collaboration to build an interoperable and fair open metaverse. He noted that by working with Unity, they are helping developers create engaging games, connect with larger audiences, and achieve greater success.

More details regarding the partnership and product launch timings are expected to be released next year.

Unite, Unity’s Annual Developer Conference, is hosting over 1,500 developers for technical sessions, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences. The keynote will be livestreamed and later available on Unity’s YouTube channel.
