Vault Strategic Mining Corp. Completes Phase 1 Exploration at War Bond Tungsten Project
Vancouver, British Columbia — June 17, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Vault Strategic Mining Corp. has completed the initial phase of its exploration program at the War Bond Tungsten Project in Nevada, USA, the company announced. The project encompasses the Historical War Bond Tungsten Mine, Historical Tactite Tungsten Mine, and Historical Thursday Tungsten Mine.
The completed Phase 1 involved reconnaissance and sampling, during which 42 rock and geochemical samples were collected. Preliminary field work and logistical plans were also executed to support an upcoming Phase 2 exploration program. The collected samples are to be sent to ALS Geochemistry in Reno, Nevada, for analysis of traditional and strategic metals and indicator elements.
Nevada was ranked as the top mining jurisdiction globally in the Fraser Institute’s Annual Survey of Mining Companies released on February 26, 2026. The War Bond claim package consists of 20 unpatented lode mining claims, covering approximately 400 acres in the Delaware Mining District of western Nevada. Historical records suggest that War Bond, Tactite, Thursday, Old Discovery, and Knight Claims may refer to overlapping property names within the same broader tungsten occurrence area.
Quinn Field-Dyte, Chief Executive Officer of Vault Strategic Mining Corp., stated, “Completing Phase 1 at War Bond is an important first step for Vault as we begin applying modern exploration methods to a historical tungsten district in Nevada.” He added that the initial program provided valuable field-level information to help verify and consolidate historical data. Preparations are now underway for Phase 2, which is expected to build on these results through continued field validation, refined target assessment, and advancement toward drill target generation.
The proposed Phase 2 field program is fully funded and will focus on a modern geological evaluation of the historical tungsten system. Planned activities include detailed mapping of intrusive-carbonate contacts and skarn zoning, surface verification of historical zones including accessible pits and mine dumps, and channel sampling across tactite and adjacent structures. The program will also involve soil sampling traverses, portable ultraviolet work to assess scheelite distribution, structural measurements, and the development of high-priority drill targets with specific coordinates and conceptual collar locations.
Historical descriptions indicate that tungsten mineralization in the area is associated with scheelite-bearing tactite or skarn developed near granite-limestone contacts. Records from Western Mining History and the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology describe mineralization with scheelite as the primary mineral and epidote, garnet, quartz, and calcite as gangue minerals. Historical assay and laboratory records from 1942 and 1943 reported selected sample results ranging from 0.35% WO3 to 14.40% WO3. Limited historical production-related references include production for War Bond Mine in 1953, with reported grades of approximately 0.3% to 0.45% WO3, and a 250-ton test lot from the Old Discovery East Pit averaging 0.3% WO3.
Vault Strategic Mining Corp. is a North American resource company focused on acquiring and advancing strategic and critical mineral projects. The company emphasizes historical and underexplored assets with potential for value creation through modern exploration and disciplined development.
