China Gold International Resources Reports Record Second Quarter and First Half Financial Performance
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — August 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. reported a significant increase in revenue, mine operating earnings, net profit, and cash flow from operations for both the second quarter and the first half of 2026 compared to the same periods in 2025. The company also noted a decrease in gold production while copper production saw a slight increase.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, revenue climbed 50% to US$461.0 million, up from US$307.3 million in 2025. Mine operating earnings rose US$167.9 million to US$327.3 million, from US$159.4 million in the prior year. Net profit for the quarter more than doubled, increasing by US$159.5 million to US$275.8 million, compared to US$116.3 million in 2025. Cash flow from operations also saw a substantial jump, reaching US$286.5 million from US$191.3 million year-over-year.
Despite the positive financial results, total gold production for the second quarter decreased by 14% to 37,498 ounces, down from 43,403 ounces in the second quarter of 2025. Total copper production, however, experienced a slight increase, reaching 41.1 million pounds (approximately 18,641 tonnes), up from 39.7 million pounds (approximately 18,013 tonnes) in the comparable period of 2025.
The positive financial trends continued into the first half of 2026. Revenue for the six months ended June 30, 2026, surged 58% to US$914.2 million, compared to US$580.4 million in the same period of 2025. Mine operating earnings increased by US$343.0 million to US$620.1 million, from US$277.1 million. Net profit grew by US$309.8 million to US$512.1 million, compared to US$202.3 million in 2025. Cash flow from operations for the first half of the year was US$555.2 million, an increase from US$334.8 million in 2025.
During the first six months of 2026, total gold production decreased by 18% to 72,317 ounces, from 88,200 ounces in 2025. Total copper production for the first half saw a slight increase to 78.6 million pounds (approximately 35,671 tonnes), compared to 77.0 million pounds (approximately 34,924 tonnes) in the same period of the previous year.
