Western Star Resources Reports High-Grade Tungsten Assays from Nevada Properties

July 28, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 42K) announced today that certified laboratory assay results from its inaugural programs at the Rowland Tungsten Property and adjoining White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada, have confirmed high-grade tungsten mineralization. The results exceed twice the reported historical grades, indicating the high-grade nature of the system in the district.

Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Western Star, stated that with geophysics complete and assays in hand, the company is building the integrated Jarbidge–Charleston dataset needed to generate drill targets.

Key highlights from the Rowland Tungsten Property include a peak rock-chip assay of 4.02% WO₃ from the Rowland Main workings (sample RO-16-01). Additional significant results include 3.00% WO₃ from the White Star Batholith Mine (sample WS-16-02) and three other samples from the Rowland Main Zone grading above 2% WO₃. The Rowland Tungsten Property confirmed high-grade tungsten mineralization across all three previously identified zones of historical workings: Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and Rowland Main.

At Rowland Main, 18 rock-chip, float, and channel samples returned grades including 4.02%, 2.69%, 2.56%, 2.11%, and 1.25% WO₃, along with notable molybdenum, silver, copper, and manganese values. Northern Zone A yielded a sample (RO-15-01) with 0.23% WO₃, 3.06 g/t Ag, and 0.31% Mn. Northern Zone B, near historical processing infrastructure and shafts, returned three rock-chip samples grading from 0.35% to 1.22% WO₃ (peak sample RO-18-02), with coincident silver and copper values up to 10.85 g/t Ag and 0.8% Cu, and molybdenum up to 119.5 ppm Mo.

Initial rock-chip sampling at the White Star Tungsten Property returned two samples grading 0.13% and 3.00% WO₃ (WS-16-02), consistent with historical production grades from the Batholith/Mission Cross Mine. A strongly anomalous coincident molybdenum credit of 711 ppm Mo was also noted at WS-16-02.

These results will be integrated with completed UAV magnetic geophysical surveys and pending soil geochemistry to support drill target generation across the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint. Further soil sampling is ongoing, and the company will provide updates as additional assay results are received.

The rock-chip and channel sampling program at Rowland tested three zones of extensive historical workings: Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and Rowland Main. Samples were collected from open pits, adits, and outcrops. At Rowland Main, the skarn system exposed yielded 18 rock-chip and channel samples with grades ranging from 0.01% to 4.02% WO₃, with five samples exceeding 1.0% WO₃. High manganese values were consistent across the zone, with coincident molybdenum and tin also noted.

Preliminary rock-chip sampling at White Star focused on roadside outcrops with historical workings or visual skarn indicators. Sample WS-16-02 returned 3.00% WO₃ and 711 ppm Mo, while WS-16-01 returned 0.13% WO₃ from an area with little outcrop but identified as a rehabilitated open pit zone via Lidar analysis.

Quality assurance and quality control measures included submission to a certified independent laboratory (ALS Global), analysis for tungsten and 47 elements, and the insertion of standard reference materials, blanks, and duplicates. Scientific and technical information was reviewed by Qualified Person Jasper Mowatt.

Western Star Resources is an exploration company focused on revitalizing North America’s tungsten supply through past-producing tungsten assets in historically important mining districts, aiming to contribute to secure domestic critical mineral supply.
