Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. Appoints Zak Mir to Board of Directors
Cobalt, Ontario — July 27, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. (“Nord” or the “Company”) announced the appointment of Zak Mir to its board of directors. Mr. Mir brings over 30 years of experience in the financial markets, beginning as a derivatives broker in the 1990s and evolving into a prominent UK stock market commentator specializing in technical analysis across various market capitalizations.
In recent years, Mr. Mir has focused on providing in-depth analysis of small-cap companies to both retail and institutional investors, while also assisting publicly traded companies in communicating their messages to these investor groups. He was the founder and CEO of Lift Global Ventures, a London Aquis Exchange-listed investment company, from 2022 until earlier this year. His career includes roles at Sucden Financial and Union Cal, which later became part of Man Group. Mr. Mir also provided technical research to GNI and has contributed to numerous investment publications, including Shares Magazine, Investors Chronicle, Yahoo! Finance, and Spectator Money. He has also appeared as a guest stock market commentator on CNBC and Bloomberg and is a member of the National Union of Journalists.
In conjunction with his appointment, Nord has granted Mr. Mir options to purchase 300,000 common shares of the Company. These options are exercisable at $0.15 per share for a period of five years. The stock options were granted in accordance with the Company’s stock option plan and TSX Venture Exchange policies and are subject to a four-month-and-one-day hold period under Canadian securities laws.
Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. operates TTL Laboratories, the sole permitted high-grade milling facility in Ontario’s historic Cobalt Camp. The Company has secured an integrated position that connects high-grade silver discovery with strategic metals recovery. Its flagship 63 sq. km Castle property, expanded by 225 hectares of leases, now encompasses three of the five most productive past-producing silver mines in the Gowganda Camp: Siscoe-O’Brien, Castle, and Millerett. The Castle East discovery has a historical inferred resource of 7.56 million ounces of silver, grading an average of 8,582 g/t Ag (250.2 oz/ton) in 27,400 tonnes of material from two sections of the Castle East Robinson Zone, starting at a vertical depth of approximately 400 metres, according to a NI 43-101 Technical Report dated May 28, 2020. This resource is now considered historical, but ongoing drilling aims to expand the known mineralization associated with it. The 2020 estimate, prepared in conformity with CIM Best Practices Guidelines and reported under NI-43-101, requires significant additional diamond drilling, analytical work, and modeling to be categorized as current.
The newly acquired leases also contain a historical NI 43-101 indicated tailings resource of approximately 1,940,000 tonnes grading 47.5 g/t Ag, for a total of approximately 2,960,000 contained ounces of silver at a 10 g/t cut-off, as per a 2011 report by GeoVector Management. Subsequent work suggests potential for higher grades, and a new technical report is needed to compile this data. The historical estimate has not been verified as a current mineral resource by a qualified person, and the Company is not treating it as such, though it is considered relevant for project understanding. Significant data compilation, re-drilling, re-sampling, and verification may be required for it to meet NI 43-101 standards. A resource update is currently underway.
Nord’s integrated processing strategy facilitates multiple metal recovery streams, with high-grade silver recovery enhancing the economics of extracting critical minerals like cobalt, nickel, and other strategic metals. The Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process, validated at pilot scale, addresses arsenic barriers in complex silver-cobalt ores and produces technical-grade cobalt sulphate and other metal products. This multi-metal approach, combined with infrastructure like TTL Laboratories and underground mine access, positions Nord within Ontario’s emerging critical minerals supply chain.
The Company also holds a strategic portfolio of critical minerals properties in Northern Quebec through its 35% ownership in Coniagas Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV: COS), and the St. Denis-Sangster lithium project, a 32 sq. km area near Cochrane, Ontario. More information can be found at www.nordpreciousmetals.com.
