Western Star Resources Reports High-Grade Tungsten Assay Results from Nevada Properties
Vancouver, British Columbia — July 28, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA; 42K) announced significant certified laboratory assay results from its initial programs at the Rowland Tungsten Property and the adjoining White Star Tungsten Project, both located in Elko County, Nevada, USA. The results demonstrate high-grade tungsten mineralization, with peak assay results exceeding twice the reported historical grades.
Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Western Star, highlighted the importance of these findings, stating, “Receiving results of this tenor, that exceed twice the reported historical grades mark an exciting development at the Rowland and White Star Properties, and demonstrate the high-grade nature of the system in the district. With the geophysics complete across both properties and the assays now in hand, we are building the integrated Jarbidge–Charleston dataset we need to move confidently into drill target generation.”
Key highlights from the sampling programs include a peak rock-chip assay of 4.02% WO₃ from the Rowland Main workings (sample RO-16-01). Additional standout results include 3.00% WO₃ from the White Star Batholith Mine (WS-16-02), and three other samples from the Rowland Main Zone returning above 2% WO₃.
The Rowland Tungsten Property saw extensive rock, float, and channel sampling across its three previously identified historical working zones: Northern Zone A, Northern Zone B, and Rowland Main. At Rowland Main, 18 samples yielded results including 4.02%, 2.69%, and 2.56% WO₃, alongside elevated levels of molybdenum (up to 110.5 ppm Mo), silver (up to 6.82g/t Ag), copper (up to 0.4% Cu), and manganese (up to 2.57% Mn).
Northern Zone A returned a single rock-chip sample (RO-15-01) with 0.23% WO₃, 3.06 g/t Ag, and 0.31% Mn, along with 41.1 ppm Mo. Northern Zone B, near historical processing infrastructure and shafts, yielded three rock-chip samples grading between 0.35% and 1.22% WO₃, with the peak sample being RO-18-02. These samples also showed coincident silver and copper values up to 10.85 g/t Ag and 0.8% Cu, respectively, and elevated molybdenum up to 119.5 ppm Mo.
Initial rock-chip sampling at the White Star Tungsten Property returned two samples, with one grading 3.00% WO₃ (WS-16-02) and another at 0.13% WO₃. The 3.00% WO₃ result is consistent with recorded historical production grades from the Batholith/Mission Cross Mine and shows a strongly anomalous molybdenum credit of 711 ppm Mo.
These assay results will be integrated with the recently completed UAV magnetic geophysical survey and pending soil geochemistry data. This integrated dataset will support the Company’s ongoing drill target generation efforts across the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint. Further soil sampling is ongoing, with additional updates to be provided as new assay results are received and interpreted.
