Canadian Uranium Corp. Files NI 43-101 Technical Report on Rook II Property
Vancouver, British Columbia — October 27, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Canadian Uranium Corp. has filed an independent NI 43-101 technical report for its Rook II Property in Saskatchewan, detailing 28 uranium mineral occurrences across approximately 18,941 hectares. The property is situated about 40 kilometers east of Stony Rapids and 10 kilometers northeast of the northern margin of the Athabasca Basin.
The technical report highlights historical uranium estimates on portions of the Rook II Property, including the Fisher-Hayes Uranium Deposit, Higginson Lake Uranium Deposit, Row Uranium Showing, and The UR Uranium Showing. The company cautions that these are historical estimates and have not been verified by a qualified person as current mineral resources or reserves. These estimates require verification through modern exploration efforts, and Canadian Uranium is using them to guide future exploration.
Canadian Uranium plans a methodical approach to the property, aiming to rebuild a technical understanding of past work and, if supported by exploration, define a mineral resource compliant with current NI 43-101 standards. The company is in the final stages of digitizing historical diamond drill logs, trenching, and surface sampling data.
Arni Johannson, advisor and international uranium investor, commented on the strategic importance of long-term nuclear fuel supply and the opportunities in the early stages of exploration. He noted that the Rook II Property offers Canadian Uranium a chance to re-evaluate a large, historically explored land package using modern techniques.
The technical report recommends an initial exploration phase including ground magnetic and radiometric surveys, followed by induced polarization surveys over selected areas. A subsequent phase proposes an initial 6,000 meters of drilling. The company plans to initiate its inaugural field exploration program over the next 90 days, subject to financing, permitting, and contractor availability. This program will include ground radiometric surveying, geological mapping, trenching, induced polarization surveying, and man-portable Shaw drilling.
In September 2026, Canadian Uranium completed a 1,121-line-kilometer airborne magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical survey over areas associated with historical estimates, focusing on the Fisher-Hayes and Row deposits and the Charlebois Lake area. The complete survey dataset is expected within the next 30 days and will be integrated with digitized historical exploration data to refine geological interpretations and identify targets.
The independent technical report was prepared by Francis R. Newton, P. Geo., with an effective date of June 25, 2026, and a report date of October 16, 2026. Newton, an independent qualified person, has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this news release.
Canadian Uranium Corp.’s strategy involves assembling skilled technical teams in uranium geology, geophysics, and northern exploration. The company aims to accelerate project advancement and unlock value through disciplined acquisitions, innovative exploration, and strategic partnerships.
