Cascade Copper Corp. Completes Priority Sampling at Centrefire Copper-Gold Project, Intersects Sulphide Mineralization
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — August 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Cascade Copper Corp. (CSE: CASC/FRA: 91O) has completed the priority sampling of all holes from its initial drilling program at the Centrefire Copper-Gold Project in Ontario. The project, located approximately 40 kilometers from Dryden, has intersected sulphide mineralization in all five drill holes, indicating a Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) environment.
Holes CF-26-03 to -05 have shown significant copper mineralization, primarily as chalcopyrite. All collected samples have been submitted to Activation Laboratories for multi-element analysis, including gold, with initial results anticipated by mid to late September.
The Centrefire Cu-Au Project spans 2,500 hectares and is situated within the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt in Northwestern Ontario, approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Sioux Lookout. Historical exploration, conducted by Phelps Dodge between 1968 and 1970, identified several intervals of copper, gold, and nickel mineralization in the majority of drill holes. More recent work by Cascade has validated surface mineralization, re-interpreted geophysical data, and identified priority drill targets.
Current surface sampling at the project has yielded results of up to 2.86% copper, 2.84 g/t gold, and 23.5 g/t silver. The analysis at Activation Laboratories will utilize a 4-acid near total digestion with Ultra Trace element ICP-MS and ICP-OES techniques, with standard protocols for any copper over-limits. Gold analysis will be conducted via 30g fire assay with an Atomic Absorption finish.
Following the receipt of assay results, the company may consider a Bore Hole Electro Magnetic (BHEM) survey to detect potential VMS-style conductors near the current drilling area. This could inform a second phase of drilling to target mineralization along strike and at depth. Further exploration of the project’s potential 10-kilometer strike length may involve an airborne Electro-magnetic (EM) survey, followed by surface investigations and drill targeting.
The technical information in this release was prepared and approved by Shannon Baird, P.Geo., Vice President Exploration of Cascade Copper Corp., who is a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
Cascade Copper is an exploration-stage natural resource company focused on acquiring and exploring copper and gold mineral resource properties. The company’s strategy involves utilizing modern technologies, including 3D inversion modeling of geophysics, LiDAR elevation models, and AI-enhanced predictive modeling, across its five projects in British Columbia and Ontario. Drilling is planned for several copper-gold targets this year.
