About the Saint-Simon-les-Mines Paleoplacer Channel

The Saint-Simon-les-Mines paleoplacer is a buried gold-bearing channel, nearly six kilometers in length, situated within the Gilbert River paleovalley. This area is recognized as the site of Canada’s inaugural gold rush. Historical mining operations, spanning from the 1860s to the 1960s, yielded significant amounts of coarse gold, including nuggets weighing multiple ounces.

The company’s geological model suggests that gold mineralization within the paleoplacer system is primarily concentrated in basal sedimentary layers, saprolitic bedrock, and fractures or natural traps along the paleovalley floor. The paleovalley is located south of the company’s interpreted Saddle Reef-style antiform structures. Beauce Gold Fields is evaluating these structures and associated quartz-vein systems as potential bedrock sources for a portion of the historical placer gold.

Historical and contemporary geological assessments indicate that tributaries feeding into the Gilbert River paleovalley from the north may have been instrumental in transporting and concentrating gold. Interpreted deltaic deposits at these tributary mouths are considered priority exploration targets for the planned sonic drilling program.

The drilling program is informed by the company’s June 2026 technical assessment of the Saint-Simon-les-Mines paleoplacer channel, which established an Exploration Target estimated between 4,004,674 and 5,991,229 cubic metres, with an estimated grade of 2.02 g Au/m³ to 12.0 g Au/m³. This target is based on historical drilling data, geological modeling, reconstruction of the Gilbert River paleovalley, volumetric calculations, and the evaluation of gold-bearing basal sedimentary, saprolitic, and weathered bedrock units. The updated interpretation highlights the potential significance of buried tributaries, deltaic deposits, natural bedrock traps, and previously underestimated thicknesses of saprolitic and fractured bedrock.

The potential quantity and grade of the Exploration Target are conceptual. Insufficient exploration has been conducted to define a mineral resource, and it remains uncertain if further exploration will lead to the delineation of a mineral resource.

About Beauce Gold Fields

Beauce Gold Fields is engaged in the exploration and development of the historic placer gold district in Quebec’s Beauce region. The company aims to identify the bedrock sources of historical placer gold workings and assess the potential for economic lode-gold mineralization. Its flagship property is the Saint-Simon-les-Mines gold project, the site of Canada’s first gold rush, predating the Yukon Klondike. The Beauce region was home to significant placer gold operations from the 1860s to the 1960s, producing some of Canada’s largest recorded gold nuggets. Beauce Gold Fields continues to explore antiform structures believed to have contributed gold to the region’s placer deposits, evaluating whether structural traps and saddle-reef-style quartz mineralization could be potential bedrock sources.
