Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. Initiates 2026 Phase I Exploration Program at Engineer Gold Project
July 28, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Engineer Gold Mines Ltd. has commenced its 2026 Phase I exploration program on its wholly-owned Engineer Gold Project, situated 30 kilometres southwest of Atlin in northwestern British Columbia. The expansive 18,319-hectare property encompasses an 25-kilometre contiguous claim block and includes the historic Engineer Gold Mine, the TAG Property, the Wann River Prospect, and numerous other mineral occurrences.
The initial phase of the 2026 program will involve soil and rock sampling at the Engineer Mine area, alongside soil geochemistry and a comprehensive core review and resampling at the TAG property. Engineer Gold Mines has received full permits for a subsequent Phase II program, which is planned to include diamond drilling, excavator trenching, and induced polarization geophysical surveys in the Engineer Mine vicinity. Details for the Phase II program will be released upon finalization.
The Engineer Project features multiple styles of mineralization, including high-grade epithermal gold-silver veins, polymetallic veins, and structurally controlled bulk tonnage gold systems.
**Engineer Mine Area**
The Phase I program is designed to expand the high-grade gold mineralization at the Engineer Mine and adjacent bulk tonnage targets along strike of previously identified structural corridors, Shear A and Shear B. These structures have been traced for over 3 kilometres south of the past-producing Engineer Mine through geophysical and geochemical data. Expanded soil and rock sampling will be conducted as part of the Phase I work.
**TAG Property**
Phase I work at the TAG property, located 6 kilometres north of the Engineer Mine, will include a detailed core review and infill core sampling program. Between 2006 and 2008, 11,520 metres of diamond drilling in 69 holes were completed at TAG. Historical diamond drilling results from this period include Hole TAG06-23, which yielded 1.7 g/t Au and 5.1 g/t Ag over 26.7 metres, including 3.5 g/t Au over 4.7 metres; Hole TAG07-29, which returned 1.3 g/t Au and 5.9 g/t Ag over 35.0 metres; Hole TAG08-51, with 1.8 g/t Au and 7.4 g/t Ag over 24.3 metres; and Hole TAG08-59, which assayed 1.5 g/t Au and 8.05 g/t Ag over 42.1 metres.
Recent on-site examination of core at TAG has revealed that several drill intercepts along the identified mineralized trend were not fully sampled, and in some cases, samples were not collected adjacent to those hosting significant gold values. Upon completion of the infill and expanded drill core sampling, a detailed model of the TAG results will be generated to identify areas for potential gold mineralization expansion and to aid in the completion of an updated resource estimate for TAG. Additional soil geochemical sampling will be performed at TAG, as prior sampling indicated anomalous gold and silver values uphill from known mineralization, suggesting the potential for a subparallel second mineralizing structure.

The historic Engineer Gold Mine is a past-producing underground gold-silver operation. From 1910 to 1952, historical production totalled approximately 14,263 tonnes grading 39.4 g/t gold and 19.5 g/t silver. In 2011, an historical Inferred Mineral Resource was calculated for the Engineer and Double Decker veins, totalling 25,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 19 g/t, based on a 5.0 g/t gold cut-off. Engineer Gold Mines is not treating this historical estimate as current mineral resources, as a Qualified Person has not yet classified it as such, and further work is required for confirmation and to produce a current estimate.
The TAG Property is associated with a 6-kilometre-long structurally controlled mineralized system. The Wann River prospect, located 4 kilometres south of the Engineer Mine, is considered a highly prospective, underexplored target. Exploration has identified a mineralized corridor approximately 800 metres by 180 metres. A quartz grab sample from the Lum showing returned 263 g/t gold and 1,350 g/t silver. Historic diamond drilling in 2011 at Wann River returned significant gold and silver intercepts, including 11.3 g/t Au and 76.2 g/t Ag over 1 metre in hole WR030211.
