Western Star Resources Submits Exploration Notice for Eagle Point Tungsten Project

October 27, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has submitted a 43 CFR 3809 Exploration Notice to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Las Cruces District Office for its Eagle Point Tungsten Project in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. The submission, dated October 22, 2026, marks a significant step toward a planned 17-hole, approximately 6,000-foot drill program, which is expected to be the first drilling at the Eagle Point site in over 70 years.

The Notice, prepared by KC Harvey Environmental, LLC, covers a tungsten exploration program that includes 17 HQ core holes from 12 drill pads, approximately 0.56 miles of temporary connector roads, and one laydown area. This is projected to result in a total of 1.71 acres of surface disturbance on both BLM-administered and private land.

Drill targets for the program have been refined based on the results of the Company’s 2026 surface mapping and sampling efforts, as previously reported. Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Western Star, highlighted that the filing of the Exploration Notice moves the Eagle Point project closer to drilling, with clear targets identified along the granite contact.

The proposed drill program is designed to test these targets beneath surface exposures and talus cover. Western Star is emphasizing the domestic nature of the project at a time when secure U.S. supply of tungsten is considered a national priority. The company is currently tendering drilling contractors and arranging logistics for the program.

The Exploration Notice falls under the BLM’s surface management regulations at 43 CFR Subpart 3809. It includes detailed information on location, access, project layout, claim specifics, and environmental considerations. A total of 1.35 acres of disturbance is proposed on private surface land, while approximately 0.36 acres are on BLM-administered land.

All new surface disturbance is planned for concurrent reclamation. The drilling process will utilize a water-based fluid recirculated through a closed-loop system, avoiding the need for in-ground sumps. Drilling water will be sourced from a commercial supplier and transported to the site. Each drill hole will be plugged and abandoned upon completion, and all disturbed areas will be recontoured, topsoiled, and seeded.

The operating period outlined in the Notice spans from December 2026 through December 2027. Prior to commencement of drilling, Western Star will submit permit applications to the New Mexico Mining and Minerals Division and the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer. A reclamation financial guarantee is also anticipated. Supplemental vegetation documentation and cultural resource assessments will be provided to the BLM.

The scientific and technical information in this press release has been reviewed by Jacob Anderson, CPG (#12160), MAusIMM (#3089445), an independent consultant and Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Western Star Resources is an exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring, and advancing mineral properties, with a strategic focus on tungsten and critical minerals in the United States. The company is advancing tungsten assets in Nevada and New Mexico, in addition to its Western Star property in British Columbia. No Mineral Resource has been established at Eagle Point.
