Upside Gold Corp. Completes Expanded 2026 Drilling Program at Kena Gold-Copper Project
CALGARY, Alberta — October 15, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Upside Gold Corp. has successfully completed an expanded diamond drilling program at its Kena Gold-Copper Project in southeastern British Columbia, drilling 6,562.68 metres across 24 holes. This significantly surpassed the company’s initial 4,000-metre plan, exceeding it by approximately 64%.
The final phase of drilling focused on the South Zone and Kena Copper-Gold Zone, areas located outside the 2021 historical resource footprint. These follow-up efforts were designed to further investigate geological observations made during earlier drilling, specifically targeting the orientation and geometry of identified mineralized trends. Modified drill orientations were employed to better assess sulphide mineralization and associated hydrothermal alteration, which are interpreted to cut across the regional host rock foliation.
Sophy Cesar, CEO and Director of Upside Gold, highlighted the drilling completion as a significant milestone, noting that the program was executed ahead of schedule and under budget. “We started the year with a 4,000-metre program and ultimately completed more drilling than originally planned, ahead of schedule and under budget,” Cesar stated. “That’s a testament to the hard work and efficiency of our exploration team, who did an exceptional job throughout the season.”
The company anticipates that the assay results and geological interpretation from this comprehensive drilling program will be instrumental in supporting an updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, which is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2027. This estimate is being undertaken by Moose Mountain Technical Services, pending the receipt and validation of assay and quality assurance/quality control data.
Trevor Boyd, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Upside Gold, elaborated on the value of the program’s extensive geological dataset. “The 2026 drill and field program has provided an extensive geological dataset across the Kena Project,” Boyd said. “In addition to the original drill targets, the follow-up holes will help us assess the orientation and distribution of mineralization in areas beyond the historical resource footprint. Integrating the drilling information with assay results will be an important next step in evaluating these targets and planning future exploration.”
Upside Gold Corp. is a Canadian gold-copper exploration company focused on advancing the Kena Gold-Copper Project. The project, located approximately 7 kilometres southwest of Nelson, British Columbia, encompasses 207 mineral claims and 11 crown grants covering 10,578 hectares. The company has entered into an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the project.
The Kena Project historically hosts a gold resource, including an Indicated Mineral Resource of 32,146,000 tonnes at an average grade of 0.544 g/t Au for 0.561 million ounces of gold, and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 177,507,000 tonnes at an average grade of 0.486 g/t Au for 2.77 million ounces of gold. It is important to note that a Qualified Person has not yet classified this historical estimate as current mineral resources, and Upside Gold Corp. is not treating it as such. Further drilling and technical work are required for verification. The company cautions that visual observations of mineralization in drill core are not a substitute for laboratory assay results and do not reliably indicate grade.
The information in this press release has been reviewed and approved by Dr. Trevor Boyd, P.Geo., Vice President, Exploration of Upside Gold Corp., who is a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 standards.
