China Gold International Resources Resumes Mining Operations at Chang Shan Hao Gold Mine, Reaffirms Production Guidance

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — October 26, 2026 — Leads & Copy — China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. has resumed mining operations at its Chang Shan Hao Gold Mine (CSH Mine) and reaffirmed its annual production guidance for the mine, following a localized slope instability incident in May. The company anticipates no impact on its 2026 production targets.

The incident, which occurred on May 22, 2026, resulted in no casualties or equipment losses, and open-pit mining was suspended as a precautionary measure. However, the processing plant continued to operate using existing low-grade ore stockpiles.

In the intervening months, China Gold International Resources engaged external geotechnical experts to conduct assessments and develop remediation plans. Key interim remediation works, including restoring mine road systems, removing loose material, reinforcing the landslide body, and establishing drainage systems, were completed by the end of September 2026. Slope monitoring was conducted throughout this period.

Following an evaluation by a third-party professional organization that confirmed the slope geohazards have been addressed and the mine meets safety standards, normal mining operations were cleared to resume. After completing the necessary filing process with emergency management authorities, mining operations recommenced in early October 2026.

During the suspension of open-pit mining, the CSH Mine sustained production by processing existing low-grade ore stockpiles. With the full resumption of mining, the company will implement ongoing safety risk control measures and optimize the blending of freshly mined ore with stockpiled ore to ensure stable ore delivery volumes and processing grades, supporting flexible production scheduling for the remainder of the year.

China Gold International Resources operates two mines: the Chang Shan Hao Gold Mine in Inner Mongolia, China, and the Jiama Copper-Gold Polymetallic Mine in Tibet, China. The company’s strategy focuses on increasing production at its current operations, expanding its resource base, and acquiring and developing new international projects.

The Company is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker TSX: CGG and on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited under the ticker HKEX: 2099.
